Ariel view of Durham City

Whatever subject you’re studying, you’ll find the University’s Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre is one of the most useful resources to support you on your way to the top. Now more than ever, it’s the skills you’re able to demonstrate – as well as your academic abilities – that will make you shine in a fiercely competitive jobs market.

That’s why our facilities and services are designed to complement your course and help you develop essential professional and practical skills – from CV writing and interview techniques to time management and communication.

Support to suit you

The Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre can connect you with key events, organisations or individuals. You can also take advantage of one-to-one appointments with a specialist Careers Advisor to help you with specific issues, from interviews and applications to leadership training and applying for your dream role.

Through careers fairs and industry-led presentations you’ll be able to connect on campus with many firms who recruit our graduates, including Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, Rolls Royce, Lloyds TSB, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, IBM and Accenture. Their events are also a great opportunity to meet and ask questions of professional bodies such as CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).
