The textbook was sent to Dr Grant Ingram as a gift to the department from Chris Robinson, a graduate and Michael Casey, a temporary lecturer in the Department in 1974.

Many thanks to our alumni Michael Casey and Chris Robinson who sent us the gift textbook about radial flow turbocompressors. This textbook will be very useful to L3 & L4 Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering students as well as staff. The book was sent to Dr Grant Ingram

About the authors:

Michael Casey had an illustrious career in both industry and academia.  He was a former Professor at Stuttgart University- ITSM - Institut für Thermische Strömungsmaschinen und Maschinenlaboratorium and also a very widely recognised expert in radial flow machines.  His connection to Durham is that he was a temporary lecturer here in the 1970s.

Chris Robinson was a Durham University graduate (1977-1980) and rose to be Managing Director of PCA Engineers Ltd.  PCA Engineers Limited is an international engineering consultancy specialising in turbomachinery aero-mechanical design and turbomachinery design software.  Again, he is a widely recognised engineer in the field.

The book will be put in the library for students and staff to borrow.
