Matilda is an understated champion of charitable and humanitarian work who has dedicated much of her time to help place Ukrainian refugees in the UK.

Louise led the Global Schools volunteering project as well as other initiatives through DUSVO to share cultures with schools and the local community.

Stephenson College students have worked alongside Durham Global Schools and Durham County Council to deliver a fun and exciting outreach programme bringing the Lunar New Year to local classrooms.
Alexandra Hart - Tutor for Ukraine
Student, Alexandra quickly established Tutor for Ukraine as a DUSVO project recruiting a team of volunteers to provide English lessons for Ukrainian refugees who recently moved to the UK.

Dunelm Days is an annual event for Durham’s alumni and supporter community from all around the world. In 2022, over 40 events took place, bringing together over 400 attendees in 20 different countries to celebrate what it means to be a graduate of Durham University.
