Objectives

1. To bring together scholars from multiple disciplinary backgrounds and across national boundaries to think through philosophical problems related to epidemiology, public health, and medicine.
2. To support impactful and productive international research collaborations. The existence of a joint entity to which individuals can be affiliated makes it easier to connect people working at either institution.
3. To provide a platform for funding applications in interdisciplinary health studies. For larger grants, institutional capacity and fit is a major assessment dimension. We hope our centre will serve as an excellent platform for grant applications that cross disciplinary boundaries between health sciences and humanities.
4. To support initiatives at each institution in the areas of Medical Humanities and allied areas.
