Our International Study Centre at Queens Campus in Stockton has a wide range of activities planned for Durham Global Week. Here's what's happening on Day 4, Thursday 9 March.
Durham Global Week has been organised to celebrate Durham's global community.
DUISC Global Wellbeing Day
Today's events focus on students’ wellbeing, drawing inspiration from around the globe.
Art Session
This session will be led by Nicola Crossman who specialises in art therapy. Nicola will be looking at aboriginal art for this session.
Literature session
This session will be led by Caroline Cooke and will focus on global literature. Participants will be able to randomly select and take away a book suggested by students.
Chinese Calligraphy
Session starts at 11.30am.
Henna
Session starts at 12.00pm.
Student Art Displays
Students will be encouraged to bring in any art they have created, either prior to or while studying at the International Study Centre.
Indian Head Massage
Session starts at 12.30pm
Promotion of local wellbeing services
Working with the local community to showcase the wellbeing services within Stockton-On-Tees, including mental health and physical and emotional wellbeing.
A Way Out – Volunteering Project Visit
A visit from Stockton-based charity A Way Out, in celebration of International Women's Day. This event will include afternoon tea snacks and informal networking.
