Public Lecture by Sascha O. Becker (Warwick).

Professor Becker is the Xiaokai Yang Chair of Business and Economics at Monash University, Melbourne, and part-time Professor at the University of Warwick. He previously held positions at LMU Munich and the University of Stirling and studied economics in Bonn and at ENSAE in Paris. He earned his Ph.D. from the European University Institute in Florence and has held visiting positions at institutions including UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, and UCLA.
His research, published in top journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics and the American Economic Review, explores the intersection of economics, history, and migration.
In this talk, Professor Becker will examine talk about forced migration.
This event is open to students, staff, and members of the public with an interest in economics, migration, and social policy.
