Our MSc International Business has ranked third globally and first in the UK in the QS International Trade rankings.

Our Business School’s MSc International Business programme has been ranked third in the world and first in the UK in the newly released QS International Trade Rankings 2026.

This is the first year we have entered the QS International Trade rankings, which assess programmes focused on global business, trade and management. The MSc in International Business has gone straight into the top three worldwide, reflecting the programme’s outstanding global reputation and impact.

The QS International Trade Rankings evaluate Masters and MBA programmes around the world based on indicators including graduate outcomes, programme content, global engagement, and reputation among employers and academics.

Outstanding graduate outcomes and programme quality

Our MSc International Business performed particularly strongly, ranking second globally for both graduate outcomes and programme content. The programme joins an elite group of global business schools in the top 20, including institutions such as Arizona State University, the National University of Singapore (NUS), INSEAD, and the University of Cambridge.

Professor Kieran Fernandes, Executive Dean of our Business School, said:

“We are delighted to see our MSc in International Business recognised among the very best in the world. This achievement is a testament to the quality of our teaching, the employability of our graduates, and the international outlook that defines Durham University Business School. Entering the rankings for the first time and achieving such a strong global position is a remarkable accomplishment for our staff, students and alumni.”
