Christmas Community Day

This will take place at Durham Castle from 12pm-4pm and is set to be an amazing event
featuring a Santa’s Grotto, inflatables, fairground games, Christmas crafts, festive singalongs,
story times and so much more!

This is a free event, and a great way to get into the Christmas spirit whilst spending time in a
World Heritage Site!

We will be accepting donations for our Christmas toy drive throughout the day, so if there is
anything you would be happy to donate then please do bring it along with you.

From 11am-12pm, the Castle will be open for a quiet hour. Provisions will be made to the
event to create a less overly stimulating environment, and some really exciting specialist
activities, run by trained volunteers will be on offer such as Attention Autism Special Time,
and Sign and Sing groups. The capacity will be limited during this period so if you and your
family would like to attend our quiet hour please email:
