Bentley Beetham delivered his annual talk to staff and pupils of Barnard Castle School up until his retirement from teaching in 1949 when his boxes of lantern slides were abandoned in a cupboard.
Stephen’s presentation is a unique opportunity to dust off the slides and share the experience of Beetham’s epic trek across the plains of Tibet to within touching distance of the summit of Mount Everest.
