Biography
Following a joint honours degree in French and Spanish, Anne trained in the Newcastle office of one of the country's leading accountancy firms. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant and throughout her six years in practice she was involved in accounts preparation, audit, personal and corporation taxation. She has since become a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Anne then spent ten years teaching on professional accounting programmes in Further Education, before joining the Business School in 2000, where she is now a part-time Assistant Professor (Teaching) in the Department of Accounting and has been awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Anne teaches on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and as year 2 tutor is a member of the UG Accounting programme management team.
