Following a degree in French and Spanish, Anne trained in the Newcastle office of one of the country's leading accountancy firms. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant and throughout her six years in practice she was involved in accounts preparation, audit, personal and corporation tax.
Anne then spent ten years in education, teaching on professional accounting programmes, before joining the Business School in 2000, where she is now a part-time Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Accounting. Anne teaches on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and Chairs the BSc Accounting Board of Examiners.
