Fixing our Climate: The Bangladesh Perspective

Registration is now closed. 

In the last few years Bangladesh has emerged as a leader in the international negotiations on climate change. As a signatory of the Paris Agreement, Bangladesh has pledged to reduce GHG emissions by 15% with respect to Business as Usual by 2030. The stakes are high as transition to a more sustainable economy must be coupled with sustained economic growth and inequality reduction. Will Bangladesh continue to lead and be a beacon for emerging economies?  Is the fast economic growth of Bangladesh consistent with its sustainability agenda? Who will gain and lose from this transition? What is the role of international cooperation for Bangladesh's journey towards net zero?
