A Psychological Perspective on the Study of Decent Work

Abstract
In this presentation, I will present an overview of how decent work has been studied over the last decade within psychology. Specifically, the main tenants of Psychology of Working Theory (PWT; Duffy et al., 2016) will be reviewed, which has emerged as the dominant conceptual framework within psychology outlining predictors and outcomes of decent work attainment. Next, I will highlight why the study of decent work is so important within the fields of management and organizational behavior, with a particular focus on the overlap of experiencing work as both decent and meaningful.
