Staff profile

Jonathan holds an MBA from ESSEC in Paris, France, and a master’s in business law from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland. He also graduated with a degree in business from the University of Mannheim in Germany. Jonathan was a visiting scholar at CEIBS in Shanghai, China, and is also an alumnus of ESMT in Berlin, Germany. He has over ten years of experience in the industrial sector as a leader and consultant, working previously as vice president and general manager for the KION Group, a global leader in the material handling industry, and as a senior consultant at A.T. Kearney, a global management and strategy consulting firm. 

Research topic/thesis title: The impact of the Chinese way of doing business on internationalization strategies: Exploring the internationalization process model and the role of guanxi for Chinese firms venturing to advanced economies

Jonathan’s research interest is centred around strategic management, international mergers and acquisitions, and post-merger integration in the context of Chinese firms venturing into advanced economies. He employs a qualitative case-study approach for his research.
