‘The Collegiate Way – Living and Learning for the Future’ returns to Durham 2-5 Dec 2025 – book now

Together with presentations and panel discussions, there will be opportunities to meet college students and staff in the delegate's affiliated college and to experience college activities.

 

Programme

2 Dec – arrivals, registration, evening networking and welcome dinner

Opening keynote address (3 Dec): Professor David Wilkinson – astrophysicist, theologian and Principal of St John’s College, Durham 2006-23

The programme will also include the opportunity to meet students and staff in the delegate’s affiliated college and to attend a Formal college dinner.

Other activities include the opportunity to experience the colleges’ sporting, volunteering and performing arts activities.

Registration now open.

Registration prices include all midday and evening meals including the Gala dinner (except for students) in Great Hall, University College, Durham Castle on the final evening

Full Conference Early Bird (up to 30 Sept)  £390

Full Conference Late Bird (up to 17 Nov)  £450

Full Conference student rate excluding Gala Dinner (up to 17 Nov)  £200

Day rate for Wednesday 3 Dec or Thursday 4 Dec   £80

Day rate excluding Gala Dinner for Friday 5 Dec  £70

Gala Dinner optional extra for students, Friday day rate delegates  £45

and non-registered guests

 

Accommodation and travel

An allocation of bedrooms have been held at the Radisson Blu hotel, Durham, at an agreed rate of £139 per night, including breakfast.  For further information and how to book: Hotel accommodation

The two local airports (Newcastle and Teesside) have internal flights to major UK airports and international flights to many destinations including Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. Train services also link Durham to London, Edinburgh and Manchester.
