Fans of the Botanic Garden are being invited to place their votes in the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Garden of the Year competition. Voters will also be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 RHS Garden gift voucher.
Now in its fifth year, this annual competition aims to uncover the nation’s favourite RHS Partner Garden from across the country and the world. Open to all garden lovers and visitors to vote, this year’s competition theme is joy and the Botanic Garden is the perfect place to be joyful.
Voting is open until Monday 29 September. One winner will be announced in each region, with an overall UK winner announced in December. The winning garden will receive a special plaque to display and a professional photoshoot.
The Botanic Garden is one of 231 gardens in the RHS Partner Gardens scheme. RHS Members can visit free of charge at selected times of the year. Beyond the UK, RHS Partner Gardens can be found in eight countries, including Barbados, Japan and South Africa.
The Botanic Garden allows visitors to experience different garden environments from around the world, from native woodland to tropical plants and desert cactus, as well as exotic animals and orchids in the Garden’s Glasshouse.
The Botanic Garden offers programme of fun, family-friendly events and activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy over the summer. See classic MG Cars on display on Sunday 3 August, or come along to meet ‘Crazy Creatures’ when they visit the Garden on Thursday 14 August.
