We are delighted to announce the publication of 'A Cultural History of Death' (Bloomsbury), a unique scholarly resource framing our mortality through eight themes and six eras edited by Professor Douglas Davies.
CDALS Attends After Life Conference
On 2 December 2022, CDALS members attended the one-day After Life: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Death and Dying Conference at Newcastle University.
CDALS attends DORS#6 – Death Futures
The Death Online Research Symposium – DORS#6: Death Futures – took place over three days in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, hosted at Northumbria University’s School of Design. The conference brought together a range of scholars from around the world, both in person and online, who are all broadly working on projects concerning death in relation to the digital age.
