Conference Activities
The types of activities for UKADR 2025 are planned to maximise network opportunities, future scoping discussions, and encourage interactions between research and practice. Participation will be encouraged through:
- Panels/Debates. Interactive panels with a strong emphasis on audience engagement. These will take place in an auditorium on Day 1 and Day 2 (1 hour each).
- Breakout and Plenary Discussion. Delegates will be split into small groups (7–10 people) for focused thematic discussions, followed by plenary sessions to share key insights. These 1 hr small group + 1 hr feedback sessions will take place across breakout rooms and an auditorium on Day 1 and 2 afternoons.
- Padlet. Explore attendee profiles and showcase your research on a virtual bulletin board [link coming soon].
We welcome contributions in the form of:
- Nano-Talks. Rapid-fire 3-minute talks (if too many submissions this may be reduced to 2'). Ideal for ECRs, pracademics, or project leads wanting to showcase new ideas or initiatives quickly. These will take place in an auditorium on Day 1 and Day 2 Mornings (1 hour each).
Abstracts are not required but encouraged.
- Posters + optional 1' oral summary. Standalone engagement sessions encouraging informal discussion and idea exchange. These will take place during or alongside coffee/tea breaks in a flat breakout room on both days in the morning and afternoon (two dedicated sessions on Day 1 and one on Day 2, (3 x 1 hr))
