The IMH welcomes our Medical Humanities in Practice Research Fellows for the first in a series of events.

On 19 June 2025, we were delighted to welcome our first cohort of Medical Humanities in Practice Research Fellows to the IMH for a full day of discussions, connections and mutual learning. This is the first in a series of events for these Fellows, which will take place throughout the year and support them to use medical humanities approaches in the delivery of their research projects.

This year four Medical Humanities in Practice Research Fellowships were awarded to Phil Samba (The Love Tank), Shayla Schlossenberg (Release), Estelle Verdi (South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) and Judith Holliday (Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust).

We will be launching another Fellowship application round for 2026 to 2027 in October – if you are interested in the scheme, please keep an eye out on our website and social media.
