The Institute for Medical Humanities 6 new Research Themes

Please note: this event is for Durham University Staff members only.

Are you a Durham University researcher or staff member with an interest in AI and health?

We warmly invite you to join us for a workshop that will bring colleagues across the University together to share different disciplinary and professional perspectives on the use of AI in health research and clinical practice, as well as ideas about how the Institute for Medical Humanities can support ongoing research and collaborations in this area. Light refreshments will be provided.

Our goal is to develop a network that will support interdisciplinary and cross-sector research and collaboration on AI in health across the University’s departments, research centres and institutes with a focus on the humanities and social sciences. At this first workshop, designed to be accessible and inclusive, we would like to gain a sense of the diverse research interests and areas of expertise at Durham. Anyone with an interest in the topic, even if you have not worked in it previously, is welcome to attend!

This event will help shape the direction of the AI and Medical Humanities research theme – including events, reading groups and workshops – which will run from 2025 to 2027 at the Institute for Medical Humanities.

If you would like to attend, please complete this online registration form.
