Research interests
- Using novel lipid biomarkers (bacteriohopanepolyols, intact phospholipids, glycerol dibiphytanyl glycerol tetraethers etc) to investigate microbial processes in soils, sediments, extreme environments.
- Reconstructing sea surface temperatures during the Quaternary
- Investigating biogeochemical cycling in modern and past settings
