Biography

I have recently moved to the UK from Australia, am passionate about sports performance. In February 2021 I was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy by Macquarie University. My PhD research focused on the use of wearable technology such as global positioning systems and inertial measurement units to quantify and understand the running demands of professional rugby league match-play. For the duration of my PhD, I was industry-based and worked part time with a national rugby league team. This experience enabled me to hone my skills in coaching, and in the practical application of wearable technology in a high-performance environment. In my time at the club, I added value within a high tempo, results driven organisation by acting as the sport scientist for the club, and working closely alongside the high-performance manager and other performance staff, such as strength and conditioning coaches and physiotherapists.
