Biography
I lecture and provide departmental IT maintence and development. A particular focus of my current research is the feedback we provide to students, in particular in the context of automated e-assessment.
I sit on the International Advisory Board for the STACK automated e-Assessment software (stack-assessment.org), and the on the Advisory Board of the the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences (acadmathsci.org.uk).
I have just finished a term on the Council of the Institute of Mathematics and Its Applications and am also involved with the Insitute of Physics.
Research interests
- Automated e-assessment for undergraduate mathematics
- String theory and the string/gauge theory correspondence
- Pair production in quantum field theories
