Biography
Rector Mukwiri is a postgraduate researcher within the Mechanics Research Group in the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences (ECS). Rector graduated from Durham University with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering in July 2014. In August 2014 he was sponsored by Engineers Without Borders UK to spend three months in Kenya working with Kounkuey Design Initiative as a structural Engineer. He returned to the UK to begin his School of ECS PhD scholarship from 1st January 2015. Rector's area of research focuses on dissipation-driven constitutive models for soils.
