Endsleigh Insurance Contents Cover

Take a look at the contents insurance which Durham University has arranged for you with Endsleigh.  It is important for you to check this cover, so please follow the steps below to ensure you fully understand the protection provided.

Your policy number is HH1288.  Please review your policy details and check:

  • what is covered
  • key exclusions and limitations
  • policy excess
  • how to make a claim, extend and personalise your cover.

It is important to find out exactly what you are covered for as you may find that contents cover is not sufficient and you need to extend it to protect all of your possessions both inside and outside of your room.

TV Licence

Decide whether you will need to buy a TV licence.  This is a legal requirement if you watch live TV through any means in your room.

Book your Covid-19 vaccination

You can now book your Covid-19 vaccine if you are aged 16 or over. The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines are safe and effective, and give you and others the best protection against COVID-19. We encourage students to book their vaccination as soon as they are eligible.

A number of student FAQs are available on the NHS website here - with information on how to book your vaccine, what to do if you're an international student, and a number of helpful links for more information.

Fire Safety in student accommodation is extremely important for all the students at Durham University. Please watch our short video with some simple ‘do’s and don’ts’, on fire safety. Also, advice and information on items that are banned in your accommodation to ensure you are aware of all the risks, and know how to keep yourself and others safe.
