On May 15, Diego Platz Pereira, member of our Germany research team, gave a lecture in Portuguese on ‘Unwritten Constitutional Law: An Introduction to the Contemporary Debate’ at the Federal University of São Paulo.
The lecture provided an introductory overview of key epistemological, normative, and functional questions around the idea of unwrittenness in constitutional law, with examples from the UK, Israel, Canada, Germany, the US, and Brazil. Alongside a few Brazilian law professors, most attendees were undergraduate students, who actively and enthusiastically joined in a lively discussion on the topic.
