Postgraduate Discover Durham Tours

Start your journey at a College, where College staff will provide an introductory talk on our unique college system followed by a tour of the college. Our amazing Postgraduate Student Ambassadors will then take you on a tour of the University and City, and answer any questions you have about student life at Durham.

Booking is essential

The event as a whole is expected to last between 2.5 - 3 hours. It will involve quite a lot of walking, so please wear comfortable footwear. Durham is a hilly city so please be aware of this when booking.

We have the option of two tours for you to book onto: 

• Friday 28 July, 1:30pm - starting at University College (The Castle, Palace Green, Durham DH1 3RW) and finishing at Palace Green at approximately 4:00pm.
• Monday 31 July, 1:30pm - starting at Ustinov College (Sheraton Park, Durham DH1 4FL) and finishing at Palace Green at approximately 4:00pm.

If you have any mobility or accessibility requirements, please complete this section on the booking form and we will work to make all adjustments that we can.

Please note: as our tours are during term time it may not always be possible to show you a student room as they are occupied.  These tours are not guaranteed to involve indoor tours of Department buildings and colleges other than the designated booked college and will not include meeting academic staff.
