Durham University Orchestral Society is excited to announce its first solo concert of the year, ‘An Invitation to the Dance’, featuring both its Symphony and Chamber Orchestras! This beautiful programme includes Debussy’s ‘Prelude à l’apres midi d’un faune’, Bax’s ‘Dance in the Sunlight’, Ibert’s Flute Concerto (with the amazing Penny Cairney-Leeming as soloist), and Rachmaninoff’s ‘Symphonic Dances, Op. 45’. With such magical repertoire, it truly is a concert you don’t want to miss!
