Dr. Peter Wizinowich visits CfAI for six months

Adaptive Optics expert from the W. M. Keck Observatory (WMKO), Dr. Peter Wizinowich, has been a Visiting Professor at the CfAI for the last six months. His wide expertise in astronomical instrumentation and optical systems management, and his experience as WMKO’s Chief of Technical Development, greatly contributed to our group and we would like to thank Peter for all we have learnt working with him these past months. During his stay at Durham University, Peter has worked with CfAI’s researchers on: improving ground to GEO communication with laser guide stars; polychromatic pyramid wavefront sensing with MKID technology for high contrast imaging, and 3D printed pyramids for wavefront sensing.

Thank you Peter!
