16 November 2022 - 16 November 2022
1:00PM - 2:00PM
Ph30 (followed by refreshments in Ph132 James Knott Library)
Free to attend
James' research interests are in the theory of electronic structure of solids, with particular emphasis on theories of superconductors and systems with strong electron correlation.
Prof James Annett
This especially includes high temperature superconductors and other unconventional superconductors possessing d-wave or p-wave pairing symmetry. Currents project invovles the study of spin triplet Cooper pairs generated at the interface between an s-wave superconductor and a conical magent, and the study ofsuperconducting materials with spontaneous magnetic order (time-reversal symmetry breaking) in the superconducting ground state.
