Weatherlines was an online creative writing workshop, designed to explore the significance of weather in our lives. It was facilitated by Mary Robson and poet Graham Mort, with a mixture of established writers and those experimenting with creative writing for the first time taking part.

Participants focused on the experience and unique language of weather and how these could be brought together through individual composition and collaborative methods. The workshop comprised of two sessions, with the first being devoted to the making of poems in relation to weather, and the second being used to share and reflect upon the work produced.

Weatherlines formed part of a wider programme of events to celebrate the ESRC Festival of Social Science.
