Staff profile

Alexandra started at the Business School in December 2008 as Alumni Relations Manager having previously been a Business Partner at Yorkshire Bank. Leading the alumni team, Alex was heavily involved in supporting the School’s ranking strategy, hosting a wide range of international events, running the School’s mentor scheme, devising and implementing the alumni communication plan as well as drumming up business development opportunities that could support the student experience.

In Spring 2016 Alex was appointed to a newly created role to support our undergraduate placement students with their employability prospects. As Placement Manager, Alex worked closely with companies from SMEs to large multinational organisations to promote their work experience opportunities and deliver targeted skills support to that specific cohort of students.

Alex joined the brand new Student Support team in Spring 2023 as Student Support Manager covering the Business School. Both the Faculty hub and the wider team were appointed to ensure consistent support of students across the University, streamlining processes and ensuring comprehensive support for students who need it.
