Don Brookes

Biography

I am a PGR student completing a Master of Jurisprudence (MJur) under the supervision of Dr. Kara Woodbury-Smith and Dr. Johanna Jacques. My research focuses on theories of freedom, particularly how freedom relates to 'ability' and the human condition, and the political consequences of this.

More broadly, I am interested in general jurisprudence, legal anthropology, and the political theory and philosophy of anarchism.

I am also a Deputy-Director of the Durham Centre for Law and Philosophy (DCLP) and the President of Durham Tenants' Union.
