Biography
Responsibilities within Department
To design and manufacture a variety of components used for teaching and research; and to assist in providing mechanical engineering support to teaching laboratories and research groups within the Department.
Qualifications
Level 2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations.
Personal Statement
Shortly after completing my A Levels, I joined the Department of Physics as an Apprentice Technician with a Mechanical Bias in 2019. After a two-year apprenticeship comprised of training both within the Department and from an external provider based with Sunderland College, I moved onto being a qualified Assistant Mechanical Engineering Technician in 2021.
I am now undertaking a Level 4 Qualification and HNC in Performing Engineering Operations, which involves attending Sunderland College on day release, with the hope of continuing my learning both academically and within the Mechanical Engineering Workshop in the future.
