Research Postgraduate – Thermal Energy Node in the Department of Engineering

Biography

I am a PhD student of Dr Yaodong Wang and Prof Anthony Roskilly, My undergraduate major is Material physics (surface materials and non-destructive testing).

Research Project

Around 37% of final energy consumption in the UK is for heating (providing heat for buildings or hot water) and natural gas is the main energy resources used, together with red-diesel oil and electricity. Therefore, it is necessary to find a sustainable and renewable energy source to replace these fossil fuel-based energy resources.

I have designed a Thermoelectric Heat pump (TEHP) with storage for heating buildings. An experimental device consisting of TEHP module with a heat storage tank (HST) is designed, made and installed in laboratory.
