Teaching Fellow. Year-round Pre-sessional Course Director

I am Director of the Year-round Pre-sessional Course and oversee the initial stages of the 32/22 week pre-sessional courses. These courses provide intensive academic language and literacy training to prepare students for life in an academic department.

 I also convene and teach on 3 modules on the MA Applied Linguistics and MA TESOL and supervise a number of dissertations every year.

I began my teaching career in 1995. I taught abroad for several years in Spain, Macedonia, Poland and Azerbaijan and in the UK in a number of universities: Birmingham, Warwick, Leicester and Loughborough. I have held teaching, managerial and teacher training positions. I have taught general english to all levels, beginner - proficiency, I have taught exam classes, ESP and EAP in a number of different contexts and I have delivered teacher training courses to pre-service and in-service teachers, including running and delivering Cambridge ESOL CELTA training courses.
