Welcome to Grey College

Grey College was founded in 1959 and is one of 17 Colleges of Durham University. We are situated right next to the main Mountjoy Site in a beautiful landscaped setting. Grey has just over 1,200 undergraduate students and a further 150 students who are studying for a postgraduate degree. Together with College officers, staff and mentors, they make up our College community. At Grey, our students pride themselves on their creativity and community spirit, and the love of making the most of all of the opportunities that Collegiate life brings. We have high participation rates in sport, alongside a diverse range of musical and artistic groups, and our students are involved in a number of excellent community outreach projects.

We support and encourage all of our students, adding value to their specialised academic studies and providing a variety of opportunities to unlock their broader potential.

We hope that you will find something of interest here. If you need further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
