Short-Term College Accommodation Requests
Accommodation availability for short-term requests is normally provided within postgraduate accommodation voids within our colleges. This is therefore typically student accommodation. We do not have a stock of accommodation specifically for visitors. Short-term accommodation requests are for staff or non-student visitors to the University only.
Short-term requests are considered between November and July time only. Requests are considered for more than a one month period.
Visiting students should not apply for accommodation using this form. Please contact us directly should you need any further information.
Short-term accommodation requests can be made through submission of an online form. Before submitting the form:
- Ensure you have liaised with the relevant department
- Ensure you are fully registered with the University as a visitor in the appropriate capacity
- Registration for your visit is confirmed - staff registered with Human Resources and non-student visitors registered with Legal Services
- Confirmed and exact start and end dates for your request
We are unable to look into any potential accommodation arrangements if any of the above are not confirmed.
Priority for college accommodation is provided to full time students in the first instance. Requests therefore cannot be guaranteed availability.
If you are looking for accommodation of two weeks or less, please contact our Event Durham team directly. You can also find further details regarding hotel or bed & breakfast accommodation in County Durham here: www.thisisdurham.com/accommodation/.
