As part of the Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week 2023, the EDI Committee are hosting a webinar that showcases and discusses recent research on asexuality and aromanticism. Please join us for this webinar on Friday, 24th February 2023, between 4-6pm (GMT).
Talks will be followed by an open discussion with speakers and representatives of the asexual and aromantic spectrum community

University of Connecticut
Alyssa is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Connecticut who primarily researches adult LGBTQ+ romantic relationships, relationship satisfaction and stability, and physical behaviour. Their asexual research focuses on asexuality as it relates to asexual experiences in romantic partner relationships, including how asexual people navigate sexuality, sexual behaviour, and physical intimacy with allosexual partners.
Iscte Instituto Universitário de Lisboa
Dr. David L. Rodrigues is an Assistant Researcher at Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Dr. Rodrigues is a social psychologist studying diverse topics in relationship science, including the personal and interpersonal functioning of people from sexual and relational minorities, and the implications of sexual activity on sexual health and well-being.
M.Sc. A. Catarina Carvalho is a Research Assistant at Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. She is a social psychologist studying topics such as sexuality, sexual behaviour, and sexual health. Her research is mostly focused on understanding the challenges faced by A-spec individuals and their stigmatization by society.

Daniel Copulsky (he or they) is an instructor, researcher, and Ph.D. student in Social Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His research areas are sexual identity, asexuality, and nonmonogamy, with a focus on identity labels and identity development.
