We offer the inspiration for our students to achieve the extraordinary in real world. With our state-of-the-art Hazan Venture Lab, we seek to nurture the talents and capabilities of aspiring student entrepreneurs.

Home of innovation

The Hazan Venture Lab is our first purpose-built space for entrepreneurship.

The Lab has become a specialised home from which our students can embark on innovative enterprise projects to tackle the most significant problems faced by society and industry.

Students are able to access specialist advice and mentoring sessions, much of which will be supplied by our global alumni network.

Students also have the opportunity to develop their skills through workshops, networking opportunities, and participate in start-up pitching events.

Housed within our new Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science Building, the Hazan Venture Lab provides students with flexible access to custom-built start-up facilities including individual and group working areas, meeting rooms, and a mini-library to give students the space and resources they need to collaborate and grow their start-ups.

Sparking change-driven startups

In just a few short years, the Hazan Venture Lab has catalysed an explosion of promising new startups. Over 100 dynamic companies have launched with their support, attracting over £1 million in investments for six ventures and over £100,000 for nine more.

The student innovators are winning major national and international awards including the Global Student Prize, Women in Innovation Award and Forbes 30 Under 30.

But even more importantly, Hazan Venture Lab startups are developing ingenious solutions to global challenges. From combating plastic pollution to promoting health to reducing hunger in the face of climate change, these visionary entrepreneurs aim to move the needle on humanity's most pressing problems. The Lab's promising portfolio proves that startup success and social impact go hand in hand.

Everyone is welcome

The Lab is open to all of our students and graduates working on new ventures or enterprising projects.

The Hazan Venture Lab has been made possible through a generous £500,000 donation by our alumnus Jonathan Hazan.
