Michael Wyatt is a Resident Scholar in the Department of French and Italian at Dartmouth College. Prof. Wyatt's research focuses on the premodern cultural and intellectual history of Italy, with particular emphasis on the translation of cultures across the Mediterranean. Most recently, Prof. Wyatt was co-editor of Ariosto and the Arabs: Contexts for the 'Orlando furioso' (Harvard University Press, 2022). His two current book projects are John Florio and the Circulation of 'Stranger' Cultures in Stuart Britain, and Dido's Legacy: Oblivion and Promise in Italy's Past Present.
