We are delighted to welcome the Rev’d Canon Rosalind Brown, Durham Cathedral as our speaker for the annual World Heritage Site lecture. The lecture will explore the expression of Christian faith in Durham through two artistic forms, hymnody through the centuries and post-war visual art, and their contribution to the intangible qualities of the World Heritage Site.

The Rev’d Canon Rosalind Brown, chair of the Durham World Heritage Site Coordinating Committee, is Canon Librarian at Durham Cathedral and has oversight of the public ministry of the Cathedral which includes responsibility for the visual arts in the Cathedral. She is a hymn writer and has researched hymns that have a Durham connection. Prior to ordination Rosalind worked as a town planner.

The lecture will be followed by an opportunity for discussion over drinks and light refreshments. Registration is required for this event as numbers are limited.
