Durham World Heritage Lecture: 'One or two things I don’t understand about Durham Cathedral'

This lecture, the headline event in our World Heritage Site lecture series, will explore some of the architectural puzzles still posed by Durham Cathedral.
The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception in the Senate Suite, University College. 

Martin Roberts trained as an architect at Newcastle University, then specialised in conservation, working in Durham and as Historic Buildings Inspector for English Heritage in the North East. His researches in architectural and garden history have been widely published, and he lectures extensively throughout the region. He has written books on Durham and The Buildings and Landscapes of Durham University. He founded the North East Vernacular Architecture Group and is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries in London. He is currently working on a five-year revision of Nikolaus Pevsner's Buildings of England volume on County Durham.
