Research

Gianmarco’s research focuses on health inequalities and physical activity, with specific reference to marginalised young adults in the North East of England. The research analyses whether and how co-designed physical activity could work as a means to not only improve physical and mental well-being, but also empower individuals and their communities through civic engagement, affecting the social determinants of health and potentially contributing to wider social change.
