The University has a small but diverse community of Buddhist students and staff from a range of different traditions. Although there is no student-led Buddhist Society at present, we have a Buddhist Chaplain and a Buddhist Meditation group that meets weekly. (For more information about the Buddhist meditation sessions, email Alex Gooch.) There are a number of Buddhist groups in the region. These include centres in Newcastle, Sunderland and Northumberland.
