Durham Law Review is proud to announce the publication of Volume X, showcasing some of the most outstanding legal research produced by law students. The students pictured are, from left to right: Leong Cai Yue (Treasurer), Audrey Ku (President), and Gloria Tang (Secretary).
This year’s volume features peer-reviewed articles addressing a broad range of contemporary legal issues, such as international human rights law, environmental law, medical law and constitutional law. The articles engage with legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, reflecting the increasingly global outlook of students at Durham. Not only do the articles covered the law in England and Wales, but also European law, African law and Indian constitutional law.
The publication is the result of months of rigorous review and editorial collaboration between student authors, the editorial board, and faculty members. The editorial team is particularly proud of the wide variety of perspectives and legal systems represented in this year’s contributions.
2024/25 Durham Law Review Society President Audrey Ku writes:
“I am very thankful to Professor in Practice Philip Bennett, Dr Benedict Douglas and Professor Nathalia França for their ongoing support for Durham Law Review. I also want to thank our amazing editorial team and members, especially Gloria Tang and Leong Cai Yue, whose commitment immensely helped to complete this Volume. It has been an honour to serve as President and to work with the team.”
Volume X is now available online here, and we invite all readers to explore the thoughtful analysis and original insights featured in this edition. Submissions for Volume XI will open in Michaelmas Term 2025.
