Taught Courses

If you already have an undergraduate degree in the area of theology and religion, then one of our MA programmes will enable you to deepen your knowledge of the subject, and of the necessary skills for further research. If you are a graduate in another discipline than theology and religion, and now wish to study in this area, you can take our Graduate Diploma, the successful completion of which will enable you to study for an MA.

Our MA programmes are for people who want to know more, and think more, about theology and religion, beyond the limits of an undergraduate degree. But they are also an ideal preparation for anyone who wants to study for a PhD in the subject. All programmes can be taken on either a full-time (12 months) or part-time (24 months) basis.

The Department of Theology and Religion offers the following taught programmes:

An alternative to studying for an MA and PhD, is to take our Integrated PhD. This integrates the taught elements of an MA into a four-year doctoral programme.
