COAL STORIES provides a walking tour of Durham, beginning at Durham Museum on North Bailey near Durham Cathedral, and ending at Market Place. This easy to follow guide tells some of the ‘coal stories’ still visible in the city’s streets and byways.
The trail covers two miles and takes approximately an hour to complete. Where sections of the route are difficult or impassable for people with restricted mobility, the guide provides alternative directions.
Produced by Durham Energy Institute, all proceeds go to Durham Mining Museum. Copies of the book will be available to purchase at the event for £5.
If you would like to attend the public lecture and drinks reception please register your attendance on EventBrite.
Public parking on the University science site is free after 5pm.
