This webinar is the next in our series of seminars featuring speakers from industry and academia exploring the uses of hydrogen within bus transportation.

Chaired by Professor Tony Roskilly, Chair of Future Energy Systems, Durham University

We welcome two speakers from Academia and Wrightbus to talk about the research and the development experience of this future fuel solution.

Presenters are:

Tom Greenshields, Head of Business Development, Wrightbus

Tom leads Wrightbus development activity in Scotland and the North East, having previously worked for JCB for twenty years as a National and European Service Director. Tom's presentation will cover the development of the hydrogen buses and the company's future plans.

Carin Biegnole, Expert and Consultant in Public Private Collaboration in the Context of Zero Emission Transport. Her presentation will cover her work with the province of Utrecht on the Covenant H2 mobility and the project LIFE NEW HYTS: reNEWable green Hydrogen for TranSport.

The LIFE NEW HYTS project will demonstrate the opportunities and feasibility for local production, distribution, and application of green hydrogen in road transport. It aims to create the right conditions for rapid uptake of green hydrogen-fueled heavy-duty vehicles in local transport.
