Durham Energy Institute would like to invite postgraduate students who are studying in the broad field of ‘Energy’ to take part in our ‘Energy Day’ at The Radisson Blu hotel in Durham City on the 9th of November 2023.
We are offering a poster competition that will run throughout the day to anyone who is undertaking energy related research at postgraduate level across the three Faculties of the University. Prizes are 1st £200, 2nd £100 and 3rd £50.
The poster competition will be judged by Professor Colin Bain, Pro Vice Chancellor for Research over the lunchbreak and students will be expected to be in the room at the time should Prof Bain have any questions.
The Energy Day will begin on the 9th of November from 10.00am, followed by two panel sessions, a book launch and our ‘Ask an Expert’ session. The event will end with a drinks reception at the Radisson for all attendees and presenters. We are delighted that several members of our Advisory Board will be in attendance and this will be a perfect opportunity to discuss research and network with them.
The deadline for poster submissions is noon on the 1st of November in order to organise the batch printing of the posters. Please email the pdf of your poster to dei.events@durham.ac.uk with 'Poster Competition' as the email subject.

We look forward to receiving your application to display and seeing you there.
